I have another book published! It is called Heart Notes and it is now available on Amazon.com!

Here is a brief summary of my book Heart Notes:

Simone is a superstar singer who was suffering from two major heartbreaks, her mother dying and her girlfriend Mary broke up with her to pursue her own career as a singer and a songwriter. Not to mention, there is a psychopath who refers themselves as the Black Rose, after her. But then, her manager Jimmy meets a beautiful and desperate stripper named Jasmine who was a single mother that was down on her luck. When Jimmy introduces Simone to Jasmine, an attraction was there the girls form an unlikely friendship, despite what Simone’s back up singer and dancer Candy thinks.

Jasmine is a down and out stripper with her five year old daughter  living with her mother. She was about to think that this was her life until she was offered a chance of a lifetime when Jimmy introduced her to his client Simone Roca, a world famous singer. She thought her dream had came true but then her mother dies in a housefire and her and her daughter was left alone in the world. Despite everything, Simone decides to keep her employed to help Jasmine and her daughter Violet, remembering how it was when it was just her and her mother growing up in the world. But then, after hanging out with the woman, going on what some people look like a “date” and saving Simone from a falling spotlight, she realized that she was falling in love with Simone. When Simone turned to her for help and emotional support, she began to see her not only as a superstar singer, but also a human being who was lonely and heartbroken after her girlfriend broke up with her and when her mother died a year before. As she began to develop feelings for her, she began to trust her own heart again as well as learn to love again.

 

When the Black Rose attacks Simone and Candy and Simone get into a severe argument, the one person that Simone can turn to Jasmine, and after their “date” they realized that they like each other very much. They may even love each other. But then, when the Black Rose attacks both women are in danger and so is Jasmine’s little girl, Violet. Who will save the girls again? Or can they save themselves? Or will this be the end for both of them?

Hi. My name is Jennifer. I am a 32 single mother of one child. I am also gay. I am a proud gay mother of one. It is not easy being a gay single mother. There are challenges. People look at us mothers like we are the ones responsible to raise our children honest and upright in the eyes of God Almighty. I do believe in God and my daughter believes in God, as well as she is a good child, who loves to help others. 

 

Being a single mother is one thing, but also being a gay single mother is something else. Being gay sometimes brings in the hate and even though sometimes I pray for them, I hurt and my child gets the backlash too. How do you explain your sexual orientation to a child? How can you be a good mother while being gay? I ask myself these questions every day. No one knows my heart except fellow gay mothers. 

This is me just reaching out to others.

I always say do something good, volunteer work. Donate, money or goods.

Just today I baked cookies in a bake sale for a children’s hospital. 

Two weeks ago, I have volunteered handing out food to the disadvantaged. 

A month ago, I donated a canned food item for a food drive. 

Little things, big things different things, do something good. 

Spread awareness, buy something like a ribbon, or something, 

always do something good. 

It will show God that we do care for ourselves and others. 

Plusit will make you feel good and proud of yourself even for a moment. 

 

 

 

No Bound Love

My new book No Bound Love is finally out. It took me some time to write it. The thing is that I originally thought of it in 2009 and for the past year, I have been writing it and it took me a couple of months to publish it. Now, a five year long project is done and it is finally here! Here is the story: 

 

Sarah went through a terrible emotional draining divorce. Diana went through a terrible heartbreak from her abusive ex girlfriend Erin. When Sarah and Diana met when Sarah moves herself and her daughter Autumn to Chicago, they meet and a friendship starts that leads into a relationship between Sarah and Diana. But when Erin comes back into Diana for revenge because of Diana leaving her, and when Sarah’s ex husband wants Sarah to come back, what will happen?

This is me filing for a separation, 

From my depression

From my anxiety 

From my fears. 

Why have I let you hold me back from living 

why have you let me just sit in the sidelines 

while chances of happiness just pass me by. 

I have lived in your shadows for too long, 

I have lived in darkness for so long.

honestly, I have been depending on you for my survival. 

I have tried pushing you down and ignoring you,

But you won’t let me. 

I have lived with the struggles and I am tired of the struggles 

so I have declared an independence from you. 

I cannot live like this anymore. 

So, I am choosing to be happy.

it is a long hard road. 

But I need to do it, 

without you Depression. 

Lily of the Nile

I don’t normally do this but I would like to recommend a book for everyone to check out if and when they can. It is called Lily of the Nile by Stephaine Dray. It is a novel of Cleopatra and her daughter. It is a book even through I only read eleven chapters so far, about a girl who loses her family after her mother Queen Cleopatra, the last pharaoh in Egypt, loses the war against the Romans and Cleopatra’s daughter, Selene, and her brothers are held captive by the Roman emperor. It is about her and her brothers’ struggles in Rome and their bravery.

I have read where fifteen minutes of quiet mediation is healthy and has many benefits for you. I have discovered mediation almost two years ago and I must say I became addicted to it. I started using guided mediation and then it progreseed from there. Sometimes when I am depressed or stressed, or have writer’s block. I did it two days ago, and my mind has been clearer. Try it sometime.
