Hi. My name is Jennifer. I am a 32 single mother of one child. I am also gay. I am a proud gay mother of one. It is not easy being a gay single mother. There are challenges. People look at us mothers like we are the ones responsible to raise our children honest and upright in the eyes of God Almighty. I do believe in God and my daughter believes in God, as well as she is a good child, who loves to help others. 

Being a single mother is one thing, but also being a gay single mother is something else. Being gay sometimes brings in the hate and even though sometimes I pray for them, I hurt and my child gets the backlash too. How do you explain your sexual orientation to a child? How can you be a good mother while being gay? I ask myself these questions every day. No one knows my heart except fellow gay mothers.
